Main Priorities of the Ministry of Science & Technology

Setting up a national policy and priorities for Research and Development.
Development of scientific and technological infrastructure in Israel.
Establishment and strengthening of foreign scientific relations.
Participation in the establishment of research centers, including regional R&D centers.
Participation in the development of scientific and technological human resources.
Increasing awareness to science within the public, especially within youth.
Developing digital infrastructure (facilitating access to information).
Consulting the government and its offices in the area of Science & Technology.
The Minister of Science & Technology serves as the chairman of the Ministers Committee for Science & Technology and as the chairman of the Chief Scientists Forum.
