In order to encourage young scientists to engage themselves in the Water Technology Research Program in the framework of the German-Israeli Cooperation, BMBF and MOS have initiated a young scientists exchange program in 1999.
CONDITIONS
The program is open to Israeli and German diploma/M.Sc. students, post graduates, doctoral degree students, and post doctorates candidates who wish to spend a training period in Israel or Germany for up to 6 month, but not less than 1 month. Funding will be provided to cover all necessary expenses of the applicant's visit abroad (travel, accommodation, living expenses, extraordinary work expenses). In each case (Israeli scientist visiting Germany / German scientist visiting Israel) the grant will be transferred to the German cooperating institution. Therefore, the German institution has to direct the joint application to the Water Technology Project Agency of BMBF.
Allowance:
· accomodation and living expenses:1.690 EURO for 1st month
1.380 EURO for 2nd - 6th month
46 EURO for additional days
· travel, extraordinary expenses: only on account
APPLICATION FOR GRANTS
The informal application should include the following elements (NO OFFICIAL FORMS ARE REQUIRED):
· Personal data (including addresses, phone/fax numbers, e-mail, short CV, professional background)
· Cooperating institutions and appointed supervisors details
· Exact date of planned exchange period
· Official invitation of the host institution / host supervisor
· Brief description of the research topic, including the scientific and technological background as well as the objectives and significance
· Description of research methodology and outline work-plan for the exchange period
· Calculation and justification of estimated budget.
