Israel is a member in several international organizations and an affiliated member in many more organizations. Past experience shows that Israel was accepted as a full member in scientific organizations when it was one of its founders.

The Ministry of Science, Culture and Sport invests considerable efforts in order to make Israel an affiliated member in unique international organizations that are indisputably considered as leading research groups in the world.
The Ministry attributes great importance for ensuring Israeli scientists' access to major research institutes and the integration of Israeli scientists in major international research cooperation programs. The Ministry reviews such activities world-wide and attempts to advance relations with such bodies and groups.
