The Ministry of Science, Culture and Sport initiates international conferences in Israel, in cooperation with chief scientists and Elite institutions worldwide.

On 2004, 7 bi-national conferences took place (3 with the UK, with the cooperation of the British Council in Israel, 3 with France and one with Germany). The total budget for these conferences was 300,000 NIS.

On 2005, 16 international conferences were held in Israel (3 with the UK, 3 with France, 2 with Germany, 1 with China, 2 with India, 1 with Italy, 1 with Austria, 1 with Korea, 1 with the Ukraine and 1 with the US). The total budget for the conferences - 630,000 NIS.
